When you need to replace your bathroom basin tap set you have to remove the locking nut which holds the spout to the basin/vanity top. Often the nut will be frozen in place from corrosion or calcium buildup from years of water seepage.
The Tough Nut Basin Socket Set is designed to access the outlet nut in the small space between the basin and the back wall, making it the perfect tool for plumbers worldwide. This allows for the spout outlet to be removed from the basin set without having to remove the taps or grind off the faucet. This once messy and difficult task can now be completed quickly, therefore saving you both time and money.

Our standard set has 4 different socket sizes, made to fit 12 different brand 1/2 inch BSP and NPT plumbing fixture back nuts. Whether it's hex shaped, cross tabbed or multi tabbed, brass or plastic, the Basin Socket Set will make the job easy every time.
Each socket in our set is used for a different application:
- The 1" Socket fits brass basin spout and pillar tap fixing nuts.
- The 1 - 1/32" Socket fits brass and PVC fixing nuts to pillar taps, push button taps and drink fountains.
- The 1 - 1/16" Socket fits Reece Base brand PVC basin spout fixing nuts, and some other brands.
- The 1 - 3/16" Socket has notched tab inserts, which fit hex and cross tabbed fixing nuts to cistern inlet valves.
- It saves time without needing to remove the toilet seat and cover plate to access the fixing nut, it also fits odd size faucet fixing nuts.
